If you’re floating you’re boating
We’re the Baileys – we love adventures and the outdoors. As a family, we have sailed, camped, toured in a motorhome and have now gone back to sailing to explore a little further. In the not too distant future we would love to travel full time and liveaboard. Like many families sailing brings a freedom and calm to the typical pace of everyday life, forcing us to slow down and enjoy each others company. Unless of course, when docking in a marina then we lose the ability to communicate in a civilised manner!
Mat: Loves sailing, gadgets and tinkering with stuff. You’ll see from many of our technical videos that no challenge is too technical or smelly for Mat to have a go at. Mat started sailing as a young child on power boats before setting sail on a Mirror Dingy, and then a Wayfarer before moving over to cruising yachts. Mat has supported Sailability and has competed in the Round the Island race twice.
Christine: Loves cooking, music and travel. Christine was new to sailing back in the early 2000s and now has several thousand nautical miles under her belt. Christine just loves to explore from Africa to Aberdeen wherever she lays her hat is her home.
Catherine: Loves music, StarWars and has always been a beach baby. Traveling aboard a boat as a baby gave Catherine her sea legs and she has never looked back, she is possibly the most chilled sailor …ever.

Allegra
A Bavaria 36 from 2004. She is a well-maintained example of this popular cruising yacht in a 2-cabin version. We purchased her in Aug 2020 after spending some time exploring the UK and France in a motorhome. We made a checklist of things we wanted from the previous boat and motorhome, and Allegra ticked all the boxes.
Sailing Area
We are now exploring North Wales following a couple of years on the south coast. Our plan is to explore this area before we move on to Scotland, but as with sailing and life, it’s all written in the sand at low tide! Come with us, and see where we end up….
